Dallas, TX (August 4, 2025) — A tragic hit-and-run incident took the life of 23-year-old Seth Rains in the early morning hours of July 26, as he was walking back to his hotel after attending a concert with friends.
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred around 2:40 a.m. at the intersection of Turtle Creek Boulevard and Market Center Boulevard. Rains, a Texas Tech University graduate, was struck by a vehicle while crossing the street with his group of friends.
Witnesses say the driver initially circled back to the scene but quickly fled again after realizing he had hit someone. One of Rains’ friends even attempted to engage the driver, who reportedly claimed not to know what had happened before speeding away.
Rains was transported to the hospital but sadly passed away before his family could arrive. No arrests have been made, and Dallas police are actively searching for the suspect.
