Injury Crash in Dallas, TX — 6 Hurt in Laureland Rd Collision; Driver Charged (July 30, 2025)

Dallas, TX (August 5, 2025) — A devastating wrong-way crash in southern Dallas left six people injured, including three children, and has resulted in criminal charges against a 52-year-old woman.

According to reports, the two-vehicle crash occurred around 8:15 p.m. on July 30 in the 600 block of East Laureland Road near Shadycrest Trail. Investigators say Lateisha Wilson was driving a blue Ford F-250 on the wrong side of the road when she collided head-on with a Mazda CX occupied by a family of six.

The crash caused severe injuries to all family members. The driver of the Mazda, a father, sustained a broken back. His three children—ages 4, 8, and 11—suffered lacerations, with one reportedly drifting in and out of consciousness at the scene. All six victims required medical treatment.

Wilson told police she believed someone was chasing her, prompting her to drive on the wrong side of the road. The man she claimed was following her told investigators that she had earlier struck his vehicle and fled, and he had been attempting to obtain her license plate number.

Wilson was arrested and charged with six counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. She was released on bond from the Dallas County Jail on August 2. The case remains under active investigation.
