According to reports, the fire began around 10:45 p.m. on August 3 in the 1900 block of North Central Park Avenue. Firefighters and police officers responded quickly to the scene and found two adjacent structures involved in the blaze.
Three adults managed to escape the buildings. One woman was transported to Stroger Hospital in serious condition due to smoke inhalation. Two men were also hospitalized and are reported to be in fair condition.
