Minneapolis, MN (October 25, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision near downtown Minneapolis on Wednesday night resulted in the death of a 26-year-old woman and left ten others injured. Authorities report that the incident was alcohol-related.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the crash occurred around 9:17 p.m. when a Chevy Avalanche, speeding while exiting eastbound Interstate 94, lost control near Lyndale Avenue, striking several vehicles around Dunwoody Boulevard. The driver of the Chevy, a 29-year-old man from St. Paul, was found to have been under the influence at the time.

The impact caused the death of 26-year-old Natalie Gubbay, who was driving a Jeep involved in the crash. A 28-year-old passenger in the Jeep, from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. Initially, Gubbay was identified as a passenger, but officials later confirmed she was driving the Jeep.

The driver of the Chevy suffered minor injuries, while his passenger, a 20-year-old woman from St. Paul, is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries.

The other victims, aged between 2 and 62, were reported to have sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Court records revealed that the Chevy’s driver has a history of traffic violations, including driving with a revoked license and previous convictions for careless driving, possession of a controlled substance, and driving with an open container.
