Los Angeles, CA (August 6, 2025) — A devastating hit-and-run crash claimed the life of a pedestrian and resulted in the arrest of two suspects Tuesday afternoon in the West Los Angeles area.
According to reports, the incident began around 2:09 p.m. on August 5 when a white Jeep rear-ended another vehicle at the Bundy Drive off-ramp from the 10 Freeway. After the initial collision, the driver of the Jeep fled the scene, weaving through opposing lanes of traffic in an attempt to evade law enforcement.
While fleeing, the suspect struck a pedestrian along Bundy Drive, fatally injuring the individual. Emergency responders arrived quickly but pronounced the pedestrian dead at the scene.
The Jeep was later abandoned near Pearl Street, and the suspect attempted to escape on foot. A gray Honda Insight arrived to assist, but LAPD officers located the vehicle at Ocean Park Boulevard and Bundy Drive, where a felony traffic stop was performed. Both the fleeing driver and the accomplice were taken into custody without further incident.
Authorities have not yet released the identity of the deceased pedestrian, and the investigation remains active.
