Fort Worth, TX (October 28, 2024) – A tragic wrong-way collision on Northwest Loop 820 near Marine Creek Lake early Sunday morning claimed the lives of a woman who was engaged to be married and family of four, according to Fort Worth Police.
The fatal crash occurred around 3:30 a.m. Authorities reported that a Ford Focus, which was occupied by an adult male (the father), an adult female (mother), and their two children, was driving in the wrong direction on Loop 820 when it collided head-on with another vehicle. The impact caused the Ford Focus to catch fire, resulting in the deaths of all four occupants.
In the other vehicle, a man and his fiancée were involved in the crash. Sadly, the woman did not survive. The man was transported to a hospital and is expected to recover from his injuries.
“This is a horrific tragedy affecting so many lives,” said Officer Tracy Carter of the Fort Worth Police Department. “Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone involved.”
