Riverside, CA (August 7, 2025) — A multi-vehicle crash involving a motorcycle caused injuries and traffic delays early Tuesday morning on Interstate 215 in Riverside.
News sources show that the collision took place at approximately 6:30 a.m. on August 6, 2025, on the northbound side of Interstate 215, just south of Placentia Avenue. According to the California Highway Patrol, the crash involved a motorcycle, a gray Genesis sedan, and a white Honda Civic.
Initial reports indicate the motorcycle rider was lane-splitting when the Genesis made contact, causing the motorcycle to strike the rear of the Honda. The motorcyclist was found conscious and sitting in the middle lanes with a visible foot injury. A doctor who happened to be at the scene provided immediate aid before emergency personnel arrived.
Paramedics with American Medical Response transported the injured motorcyclist to Riverside University Health System Medical Center, where the rider was reported to be in stable condition.
Middle lanes remained blocked for a time, leading to heavy traffic congestion during the morning commute. Tow trucks and FastTrack cleanup crews worked to clear the scene.
