Paradise Township, PA (August 9, 2025) – A devastating farming accident on Thursday afternoon claimed the life of a 6-year-old boy in Lancaster County. Pennsylvania State Police said they were called to a property in Paradise Township at approximately 3:30 p.m. for a report of a child injured while operating farm equipment.
According to reports, the incident occurred while a 6-year-old and a 14-year-old were cleaning a barn using a skid steer. Police said the older child accidentally struck the younger boy with the arms of the machine. The victim was rushed to Lancaster General Hospital with a severe head injury but later died from his wounds. Authorities have ruled the death an accident. The Lancaster County Coroner’s Office responded to the scene as the investigation continues.
