Buffalo, OK (August 12, 2025) – A deadly crash involving a passenger vehicle and a semi-truck occurred Sunday afternoon, August 10, just south of Buffalo in Harper County.
According to reports, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said 56-year-old Saul Velez Ayala was traveling along Highway 183 when his vehicle collided with a semi. Emergency responders pronounced Velez Ayala dead at the scene.
The driver of the semi, identified as 50-year-old Tracy Jennings-Turner, was injured and transported for medical care. The crash closed the highway for roughly three hours while troopers investigated and cleared the area. Authorities continue to review the circumstances leading to the collision.
