Pettis County, MO (August 12, 2025) – A 69-year-old man was seriously injured Monday afternoon when his pickup truck overturned in Pettis County. The crash occurred at approximately 3:50 p.m. on August 11 at the intersection of Missouri Route M and Van Dyke Road.
According to reports, a 2000 Ford F-150 driven by the Versailles resident swerved to avoid a deer in the roadway. The truck ran off the road, struck a fence, and overturned. The vehicle sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by InMotion Tow.
The driver suffered serious injuries and was transported by MU Air Medical Services to the University of Missouri Hospital in Columbia for treatment. The Missouri State Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation.
