Houston, TX (August 13, 2025) – A pedestrian was struck and killed early Monday morning after being hit by a cement truck on the Northwest Freeway, according to Houston police.
According to reports, the deadly crash happened around 12:32 a.m. on August 11 in the 13800 block of the Northwest Freeway. Investigators say the victim, a 33-year-old man, had been standing on the freeway’s shoulder when he stepped into the main lanes and was struck by an outbound Kenworth cement mixer truck.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not yet been publicly released, pending notification of next of kin.
The truck driver remained at the scene, showed no signs of impairment, and cooperated with police. At this time, authorities have not announced any charges, and the investigation is ongoing.
