Houston, TX (August 13, 2025) – A 24-year-old man lost his life late Sunday night in a dirt bike accident in north Houston, according to local authorities.
According to reports, the fatal crash occurred around 11:00 p.m. on August 10 in the 4800 block of Airline Drive. The Houston Police Department stated that the rider was operating a white Yamaha YZ450F dirt bike northbound when he struck a pothole, causing him to lose control.
As the rider veered into the opposite lane, he collided with a southbound blue Toyota Corolla. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from the dirt bike, and he was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. His identity has not yet been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The driver of the Toyota Corolla remained on scene, cooperated with police, and showed no signs of impairment. Investigators continue to review the incident.
