Galt, CA (August 15, 2025) — A man was hospitalized Thursday morning after being ejected from a pickup truck during a high-speed crash in Galt.
According to reports, emergency medical crews and Galt Police officers were dispatched at approximately 6:26 a.m. on August 14 to the intersection of Ayers Lane and Carol Drive. Upon arrival, officers located a man lying on the ground who had been thrown from a pickup truck involved in the collision.
Investigators determined the pickup truck had been traveling at a high rate of speed when it failed to stop at a posted sign and struck another vehicle turning at the intersection. The force of the crash caused the pickup to go airborne before landing on its side. The ejected male driver sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Authorities confirmed that alcohol and drugs were not contributing factors in the crash. The investigation remains active.
