Alcoa, TN (January 13, 2025) – A multi-vehicle crash at the intersection of Bessemer Street and Calderwood Street in Alcoa on Monday afternoon sent two people to the hospital. The collision, which involved three vehicles, occurred around 2 p.m.
According to Alcoa Police, one of the vehicles involved caught fire at the scene. A 70-year-old Maryville man sustained serious injuries and was transported to the University of Tennessee Medical Center for treatment. A 20-year-old Alcoa woman suffered minor injuries and was treated at Blount Memorial Hospital.
Authorities have not disclosed the cause of the crash as the investigation remains ongoing. No additional details have been released at this time.
