According to the Azle Police Department’s preliminary investigation, a Toyota Tundra, driven by 64-year-old William Charles Salathe of Fort Worth, crossed the center line while traveling northbound and collided head-on with a Honda CR-V. The Honda CR-V was driven by Ann Browning Henley, an 83-year-old resident of Azle.
Henley sustained severe injuries in the crash and was transported to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities determined that Salathe was impaired at the time of the accident. He was arrested at the scene and charged with Intoxication Manslaughter with a Vehicle.
