Okanogan County, WA (November 3, 2025) – Authorities have identified the pedestrian killed in a tragic crash on State Route 97 Saturday evening as 64-year-old Annette Gorr.
According to the Washington State Patrol, the fatal collision occurred around 7 p.m. on November 1, near milepost 265 on the northbound side of SR 97. For reasons still under investigation, Gorr was standing in the roadway when she was initially struck by an SUV.
After the initial impact, a second vehicle also hit Gorr and fled the scene. A third driver, operating a Kia Soul, ran over the victim and also fled. That driver was located and stopped a short time later by law enforcement.
The driver of the first SUV pulled over and remained at the scene. Sadly, Gorr was pronounced dead at the site of the incident.
Authorities stated that drugs or alcohol may have contributed to the crash. The investigation remains ongoing.
