Kansas City, MO (January 1, 2026) — A dramatic rescue unfolded Monday night as Kansas City firefighters saved multiple residents trapped inside a burning apartment complex, including a family of five with three young children.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, emergency crews responded to the Sycamore Groves Apartments in the 1700 block of Kansas near 18th Street and Benton Street after a caller reported individuals unable to escape the flames.
