Tallahassee, FL (August 3, 2025) — A 68-year-old man was critically injured Thursday evening after being struck by a vehicle on a busy roadway in Tallahassee, according to officials with the Florida Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on July 31 along Crawfordville Road near Ponce De Leon Boulevard. FHP stated that a 24-year-old man from Tallahassee was driving a Lexus northbound when the pedestrian began crossing the road, heading east into the vehicle’s path.
The driver struck the pedestrian before stopping on the eastern shoulder of the road. The pedestrian suffered a serious head injury and was rushed to Tallahassee Memorial Hospital in critical condition.
Both individuals involved are Tallahassee residents. Troopers said it is still unclear who was at fault, and the investigation remains ongoing.
