Houston, TX (August 3, 2025) — A bicyclist lost his life late Thursday night following a collision with a pickup truck in southwest Houston.

According to reports, the fatal accident occurred around 10:00 p.m. on July 31 in the 5900 block of Bellaire Boulevard. Authorities stated that a tan GMC Sierra was traveling eastbound when a bicyclist entered its path. The driver was unable to stop in time and struck the bicyclist.

Emergency crews transported the victim to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead. His identity has not yet been released, pending family notification.

Police confirmed the driver of the GMC remained at the scene, cooperated with investigators, and showed no signs of intoxication. No charges have been filed at this time, and the investigation remains ongoing.
