Berkley, MA (July 26, 2025) — A serious two-car collision on Route 24 North in Berkley sent two people to the hospital Monday night, one of them by medical helicopter.
According to reports, the crash occurred July 22 near the Padelford Street exit. Emergency crews from multiple departments, including Berkley Fire and Rescue, Freetown Fire Department, and Massachusetts State Police, responded to the scene.
One of the vehicles’ occupants sustained serious injuries and was transported by Boston MedFlight to Rhode Island Hospital. Another individual from the second vehicle was taken to Saint Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford with injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
The northbound lanes of Route 24 were shut down for an extended time while investigators worked to document the scene and determine the cause of the crash. Authorities have not yet released further details as the investigation continues.
