Bolivar County, MS (June 29, 2025) — A single-vehicle crash early Friday morning claimed the life of a Ruleville man in Bolivar County, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol.

According to reports, the deadly crash happened around 5:30 a.m. on June 27 along Highway 8. Investigators say a 2011 Ford F-150 was traveling westbound when, for reasons still under investigation, it veered off the roadway and collided with a roadside ditch.

The driver, identified as 55-year-old Leroy Woodley of Ruleville, suffered fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene by responding authorities. No other vehicles were involved, and officials have not yet released details on what factors may have led to the truck leaving the highway.
