News sources show the collision occurred on August 4 along Road 4-Northeast when a 37-year-old man reportedly failed to stop for a red light at an intersection. His vehicle subsequently collided with a car being driven by a 26-year-old man.

Emergency personnel arrived on scene, but the 37-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene due to injuries sustained in the crash. The second vehicle had three occupants, all of whom were transported to Samaritan Healthcare in Moses Lake for treatment.
