Poplar Bluff, MO (July 9, 2025) – A devastating accident left several people seriously hurt when a vehicle crashed into a stationary truck on Marble Hill Road just north of White Oak Drive early Wednesday morning.

According to reports, the incident occurred around 8:15 a.m. on July 9. A 2018 Chevrolet Equinox, driven by a 46-year-old man from Poplar Bluff, was traveling southbound on Marble Hill Road when it struck a 1999 Sterling Truck that was stationary in the roadway. The Chevrolet Equinox sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Rushins Towing.

At least six juveniles, ranging in age from four to nine, who were passengers in the Chevrolet Equinox, suffered serious injuries. All victims, including the adult driver, were transported by ambulance to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center for treatment. The driver of the Sterling Truck was reportedly able to drive away from the scene after sustaining minor vehicle damage.
