St. Louis, MO (July 22, 2025) – A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 left one man injured Tuesday afternoon in St. Louis County.
According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 12:47 p.m. on July 22 along the westbound lanes of I-70, just east of Interstate 270. A 28-year-old man from Chesterfield was driving a 2017 Kia Forte in lane two when he slowed for traffic ahead. A 26-year-old Highland, Illinois man, operating a 2020 Hyundai Elantra, failed to maintain a proper lookout and rear-ended the Kia.
The Hyundai sustained extensive damage and was towed by the insurance company, while the Kia was removed by Bolin’s Towing. The driver of the Hyundai was reported to have suffered minor injuries and was transported by Pattonville EMS to SSM Health DePaul Hospital for treatment. The driver of the Kia was not listed as injured. Missouri State Highway Patrol continues to investigate.
