Chicago, IL (December 6, 2025) – A late-night collision involving three vehicles left four people injured Thursday in the Washington Park neighborhood on the city’s South Side.
According to the Illinois State Police, the accident occurred just before midnight on December 4 in the 6200 block of South King Drive. Authorities say a gray sedan traveling northbound rear-ended a blue SUV at the intersection, setting off a chain-reaction crash that pushed the SUV into a red Jeep.
A man and woman inside the sedan were transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center in serious condition. Meanwhile, a 47-year-old woman and another female passenger from the SUV were taken to Saint Bernard Hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening.
Police cited the sedan’s driver for their role in the crash. The incident remains under investigation by local detectives.
