According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, emergency responders arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported at approximately 10:57 a.m. on December 31. The collision occurred near the 6400 block of Wornall Road and involved a metro bus that was struck on its passenger side.
A 45-year-old woman driving the bus sustained a potential injury to her left knee. Dispatch audio confirmed that the woman was alert, had no complaints of neck or back pain, and remained conscious throughout the incident. She was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.
