Scottsdale, AZ (August 6, 2025) — A Scottsdale police officer sustained minor injuries in a Saturday night crash involving a suspected drunk driver, authorities confirmed.

According to reports, the incident occurred at approximately 10:20 p.m. on August 2 near Scottsdale Road and Virginia Avenue. A driver, identified as 28-year-old Jensen Borkowski, reportedly struck an unoccupied police patrol car. The force of the impact pushed that vehicle into the back of a second police unit that was occupied.

An officer inside the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and received medical treatment at the scene.

Authorities reported that impairment is suspected to have played a role in the crash. Borkowski was arrested at the scene and booked into jail on suspicion of driving under the influence.
