Killeen, TX (November 20, 2025) – A Killeen man was killed in a motorcycle crash Monday evening, November 17, at the intersection of Old FM 440 Road and Pershing Drive, according to local authorities.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the crash occurred around 6:54 p.m. when 50-year-old Edwin Cruzado Arce was traveling westbound on Pershing Drive at a high rate of speed. Arce attempted to stop at a stop sign but was unable to do so due to excessive speed. He laid the motorcycle down just before entering the intersection and was struck by a northbound gray sedan traveling on Old FM 440 Road.
Arce was transported to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries. Authorities confirmed he was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash. No other injuries were reported.
The Killeen Police Department’s Traffic Unit is continuing its investigation.
