First responders from Aetna Hose, Hook, & Ladder Company of Newark and New Castle County Paramedics rushed to the scene after receiving reports that a tourniquet had been applied to a victim’s injuries.
Upon arrival, crews found the elderly woman suffering from serious injuries to her extremities. Paramedics worked to stabilize her before she was transported by ambulance to Christiana Hospital. Due to the severity of her condition, she was escorted by paramedics throughout the trip.
