Escambia County, FL (January 8, 2025) – A tragic single-vehicle crash early Tuesday morning left two people dead in Escambia County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol (FHP).
The incident occurred around 2:30 a.m. when a white BMW SUV traveling southbound on Pace Boulevard at a high rate of speed approached the intersection with Navy Boulevard. Authorities say the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to collide with a concrete utility pole.
The driver, a 33-year-old man from Pensacola, was transported to Baptist Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. A 26-year-old female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene.
