Fairfield, ME (May 7, 2025) – A nearly head-on collision late Monday night on Green Road in Fairfield left four individuals injured, according to local authorities.
At approximately 9:52 p.m. on May 5, Fairfield police officers were dispatched to the area near 149 Green Road. An off-duty Fairfield-Benton Fire Department member was first to arrive on scene and reported multiple injuries, prompting a call for additional ambulances from Delta Ambulance and Waterville Fire.
Investigators determined that 33-year-old Dana Ashey of Waterville was driving a 2020 Ford Ecosport northbound when he crossed the center line and collided nearly head-on with a 2019 Dodge Ram driven by 53-year-old Chad Audet of Clinton.
Dana Ashey and his passenger, 38-year-old Ryan Ashey of Winslow, both suffered injuries. Dana Ashey was taken to Maine General Thayer with minor injuries. Chad Audet and his passenger, Bonnie Audet, were also transported to the same hospital. Chad sustained minor injuries, while Bonnie’s injuries were described as not life-threatening.
The Fairfield Police Department continues to investigate the crash.
