Authorities report that Mark Michaud, 49, of Fairfield, was attempting to cross the off-ramp when he was hit by the truck. Michaud sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor-trailer was driven by a 19-year-old from Milford. Officials have not released the driver’s name.
