According to reports, the Jackson Police Department responded to the scene on Gallatin Street around 4:16 a.m. on July 20. Authorities say two individuals were riding a 4-wheeler when it became involved in a collision with two pickup trucks.
One of the passengers on the 4-wheeler, identified as 22-year-old Brendon Keys, was fatally injured in the crash. He was pronounced dead at the scene, and his next of kin has been notified. The driver of the 4-wheeler was critically injured and transported to a local hospital for emergency care.
According to police, the driver of one of the pickup trucks remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation. The second pickup truck driver fled the area before officers arrived. Authorities are working to identify and locate that individual.
