According to reports, the fatal collision occurred July 27 on Gum Springs Road. The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office said a group of cyclists was traveling east when 59-year-old Andrew Shaw passed the group just before a curve. As Shaw rounded the bend, he reportedly crossed the center line and collided with a westbound vehicle towing a trailer.
