Yorktown, NY (August 15, 2025) — A tragic crash Thursday morning in Yorktown claimed the life of a bicyclist and left a young driver hospitalized, according to local police.
According to reports, the incident occurred around 7:45 a.m. on August 14 along Route 134. Police say the bicyclist was riding in the roadway when they were struck by a vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the bicyclist dead on-site.
The driver of the vehicle, a 21-year-old woman, was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital. Her current condition has not been released.
