Muncie, IN (June 5, 2025) — A Muncie man lost his life in a two-vehicle crash northeast of downtown on Tuesday evening.
According to reports, the accident occurred around 6:20 p.m. at the intersection of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Bunch Boulevard. David M. Flye, 69, was a passenger in an SUV traveling southbound on MLK Jr. Boulevard when a westbound Nissan Rogue entered the SUV’s path. The SUV overturned after the impact, and Flye, who was not wearing a seat belt, was partially ejected from the vehicle.
Emergency personnel from the Muncie Fire Department pronounced Flye dead at the scene. Both drivers involved in the crash survived with non-life-threatening injuries. Authorities are continuing to investigate the collision.
