Fort Worth, TX (July 20, 2025) – A high-speed crash Saturday afternoon in Fort Worth left one person dead and two others injured after a vehicle struck a bus stop and then slammed into a nearby building.

According to reports, the incident occurred shortly after 3:00 p.m. on July 19 along East Lancaster Avenue. Police say two vehicles were racing westbound at excessive speeds when one of the drivers lost control. The out-of-control vehicle crashed into three people near a bus stop before slamming into the building.

Emergency crews arrived to find one individual deceased at the scene, while two others suffered minor injuries and were treated at the hospital.

The drivers of both vehicles, identified as 24-year-old De’Tavius Hayes and 22-year-old Deovion Alexander, were taken into custody. Both face charges related to a collision involving death. The identities of the victims have not yet been released.
