According to reports, the truck overturned on westbound United States Highway 60 at Hope Road just before 9:15 a.m., pinning 38-year-old Ruben Solis of Amarillo beneath the vehicle. Emergency crews responded immediately and, in an extraordinary attempt to save Solis, a trauma surgeon was flown in from Amarillo to perform an on-site leg amputation.
