Clackamas County, OR (October 2, 2025) – A devastating single-vehicle crash claimed the lives of two people and left two others seriously injured after a car plowed into a building Sunday afternoon in Clackamas County.
According to the Oregon State Police, the collision occurred around 2:27 p.m. on September 28 at the intersection of Highway 212 and Southeast Wally Road. Authorities say Austin Gaberiel Roberts, 21, of Kelso, Washington, was driving a Dodge Caliber eastbound at high speed when he lost control, veered off the roadway, and slammed into a brick building housing local business ¡Candylashco.
The vehicle caught fire following the crash. Roberts and his passenger, Taylor Renee Wonderly, 19, of Portland, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
