Baltimore, MD (June 15, 2025) – A high-speed pursuit near Interstate 95 ended in tragedy on June 4 when a vehicle slammed into a support pillar, killing both occupants.
According to reports, the incident began around 2:18 a.m. when a Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA) officer attempted to stop a car exiting I-95 onto Key Highway in Baltimore. The driver of the Infiniti refused to pull over, prompting a chase.
During the pursuit, the driver lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a pillar under the interstate. Both the driver and the passenger were pronounced dead at the scene.
The Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division (IID) is reviewing the incident, as it involved a law enforcement officer engaged in a pursuit at the time of the fatal crash.
