Blount County, AL (July 7, 2025) — A single-vehicle crash in Blount County claimed the life of a Fultondale woman Sunday morning after her car left the road and struck a tree.

According to reports, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to the crash just before 11:00 a.m. on July 6. Investigators say 55-year-old Laura D. Bostic was driving a 2008 Toyota Camry along Mize Road near Rooster Road, roughly three miles south of Remlap, when she veered off the roadway.

The Camry struck a ditch before crashing into a tree. Authorities confirmed that Bostic was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck and was pronounced dead at the scene due to the severity of her injuries.

Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are still investigating the cause of the crash to determine what factors may have contributed to the tragic incident.
