Corpus Christi, TX (September 28, 2025) – Two young women tragically died following a serious crash involving an SUV and a dump truck Monday morning at Old Brownsville Road and Saratoga Boulevard in Corpus Christi.
According to the Texas Department of Public Safety, the SUV was heading southbound on Old Brownsville Road when the driver lost control, causing the vehicle to hydroplane into the northbound lane. The SUV then collided with a dump truck under still-unclear circumstances.
The Nueces County Medical Examiner’s Office later confirmed the victims as 21-year-old Uballie Gutierrez and 22-year-old Annstaisa Rabe, both occupants of the SUV.
A juvenile passenger inside the SUV was seriously injured and taken to the hospital for treatment. The dump truck driver was hospitalized as a precaution and is expected to recover.
