Fannett Township, PA (June 9, 2025) — A 68-year-old woman from Fannett Township has died from injuries sustained in a collision involving a motorcycle and a horse and buggy last month in Franklin County. The crash occurred during the evening hours of May 23 at the intersection of Path Valley Road and Dry Run Road South.

According to reports, the motorcycle was attempting to pass the horse and buggy as both were traveling southbound on Path Valley Road. As the horse and buggy initiated a left turn, it was struck by the motorcycle.

Both the motorcyclist and the operator and passenger of the horse and buggy were flown from the scene with serious injuries. The woman, who was a passenger in the buggy, succumbed to her injuries on Friday, June 6, according to the Cumberland County Coroner’s Office. The Franklin County Coroner’s Office assisted Pennsylvania State Police-Chambersburg in the investigation, which remains ongoing.
