Hopkins County, KY (December 19, 2025) — One person has died and another was injured following a serious accident on Brown Road in Hopkins County.
According to the Kentucky State Police, the collision took place on the morning of December 17 near the 8900 block of Brown Road. Authorities say a 2022 Subaru, driven by Blane Metcalf, reportedly veered across the center line and collided head-on with a 2015 Chrysler. Emergency responders arrived quickly, but Metcalf was pronounced dead at the scene by the Hopkins County Coroner’s Office. The driver of the Chrysler sustained injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
