Houston, TX (July 10, 2025) — A deadly head-on collision took the lives of two people and injured two others Monday evening when a vehicle veered into oncoming lanes in northeast Houston. The fatal crash occurred around 4:45 p.m. on July 7 at 4417 Bennington Street, according to the Houston Police Department.
According to reports, a gray Infiniti G37 was traveling westbound on Bennington Street when, for reasons still under investigation, the driver crossed into the opposite lane and struck a parked blue Rivian van head-on. The male driver of the Infiniti was killed at the scene. A female passenger was ejected from the vehicle and was also pronounced dead at the scene.
Two additional passengers in the Infiniti, one male and one female, were transported to a local hospital in stable condition. Police have not yet released the identities of those involved. Investigators are working to determine what factors contributed to the crash and whether speed, distraction, or other causes played a role.
