Kremmling, CO (August 6, 2025) – A devastating crash early Monday morning has claimed the lives of five members of a single Kremmling family in what authorities have described as a head-on collision that led to both vehicles catching fire.

News sources show the fatal incident occurred around 7 a.m. on August 4 along Colorado Highway 9 between Ute Pass Road and Kremmling. According to the Colorado State Patrol, a Ford F-150 traveling northbound veered into the southbound lane and collided head-on with a GMC Yukon carrying a local family of five.

The GMC Yukon caught fire after impact, and all five occupants — Andrea Banuelos-Salazar (30), Manuel Cabral-Torres (34), Maria Cabral-Banuelos (12), Manuel Cabral-Banuelos (5), and Andres Cabral-Banuelos (2) — were tragically pronounced dead at the scene.

The 25-year-old male driver of the Ford, from Parker, was transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries. His current condition has not been released.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation by the Colorado State Patrol.
