Lincoln, NE (July 1, 2025) — A tragic two-vehicle collision claimed the lives of two people Monday afternoon along Antelope Valley Parkway in Lincoln. Emergency crews with Lincoln Fire and Rescue responded to the intersection of Antelope Valley Parkway and Virginia Street shortly after 1:28 p.m. on June 30.
According to reports, the incident occurred when the driver of a northbound red sedan crossed the center line and collided with a southbound black pickup truck near the Bob Devaney Sports Center. Three individuals were transported to area hospitals for treatment. Within an hour, Lincoln Police confirmed that the driver of the sedan died from their injuries. Soon after, authorities reported that a second person had also died. The driver of the pickup truck sustained injuries described as non-life threatening.
