Morton County, ND (July 6, 2025) – A single-vehicle crash claimed the life of a Mandan man early Saturday morning in Morton County, according to the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
According to reports, the deadly accident happened around 2:40 a.m. on July 5 along County Road 139A. Investigators said the 51-year-old man was driving a white 2015 Dodge Ram 3500 eastbound when he failed to navigate a curve in the roadway. The truck veered off the road, entered the north ditch, and overturned.
The driver, who authorities confirmed was not wearing a seat belt, was pronounced dead at the scene. His name has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol is continuing to investigate what may have caused the driver to lose control of the vehicle so early in the morning. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
