Nampa, ID (June 9, 2025) — A Boise man lost his life late Saturday night following a three-vehicle crash at a busy Canyon County intersection. The collision occurred around 11:19 p.m. on June 7 at Riverside Road and State Highway 55, just west of Nampa.
According to reports, a 59-year-old man was driving a blue 1999 Ford Escort westbound on Riverside Road when he failed to stop at the intersection and collided with a silver 2025 Toyota Tundra on State Highway 55. The Tundra, driven by a 47-year-old man from Pasco, Washington, had a 50-year-old female passenger; both were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
A 29-year-old Greenleaf woman, a passenger in the Ford Escort, was also hospitalized with minor injuries. Additionally, a gray 2022 Honda Civic driven by a 23-year-old woman from Port Aransas, Texas, swerved off the road to avoid the crash and was not hurt.
Authorities confirmed all individuals involved were wearing seatbelts. The intersection remained closed for about two and a half hours while crews cleared the scene. The incident is under investigation.
