Portland, OR (September 8, 2025) – A man was killed late Saturday night after a crash and subsequent fatal pedestrian impact on Interstate 5, according to the Portland Police Bureau.
According to the Oregon State Police, the incident began around 11:00 p.m. on September 7 when officers attempted a traffic stop near North Rosa Parks Way. The driver, an adult male, failed to comply and fled the area. Authorities confirmed that officers did not pursue the vehicle.
Shortly after, the fleeing vehicle crashed near the southbound on-ramp to I-5 at North Rosa Parks Way. Following the collision, the man exited the vehicle and crossed the southbound lanes of I-5 into the northbound lanes, where he was struck and killed by a passing car.
